Aud-Eats | Sushi Mentai at Taman Gaya

I love sushi. Luckily kareshi loves it too! It is always fun to hunt for good and cheap sushi together. One of our latest love is Sushi Mentai.

Last weekend, after running some errand at JPJ, I suddenly have cravings for sushi. The nearest sushi restaurant we can find is Sushi Mentai at Taman Gaya, so we decided to have our early lunch there.

I think Sushi Mentai's biggest selling point is cheap! Definitely affordable yet with quality.

There wasn't much crowd when we arrived. In fact, we were the first customer.

Ala Carte dishes on the menu are prepared in another kitchen located at the end of the shop.

I love Mentaiyaki Salmon! I love Mentaiyaki Salmon! I love Mentaiyaki Salmon! *because I love it so much I must say it three times!

I ate 3 plates of these!

My next favourite is Mentaiyaki Ebi! This is really delicious! I don't see it on the menu, wonder if it's new item.

Assorted plate for kareshi! He was handling our girl, so I kept some for him before my family finished them all.

I really love mentai sauce so I tried my luck to ask for some mentai sauce and they gave me! So nice!  I literally dipped every sushi into the sauce. Wonder if I can get it from hypermarket.

This is a must try! Salmon Skin Maki, RM 6.80. I love how crispy the skins are! It goes so well with the sauce.

This is for Kareshi. He loves Chuuka Idako, RM 4.80.

We ate 32 plates of conveyor belt sushi, 2 Salmon Skin Maki, 1 Salmon Mentai Dragon Maki, and 1 Chuuka Idako. Total damage of the day: RM 132.60 for 6 persons. Not expensive right?

Who doesn't love Cheap but quality sushi? Sushi Mentai certainly knows how to please the sushi lovers! This is one nice place to satisfied my sushi craving!
