Aud- Beauty | Soap Gallery Natural Handmade Skincare
[REVIEW/ SAMPLE]
When everything is on the "back to nature" trend, skincare wasn't left behind. It took the ride too. Recent years, there are dozens of brands coming out with natural ingredient/ organic products. It's all about going green. It's a good thing (I feel), because it will slow down the destruction of Mother Earth, lol.
Well, the very recent ones that I've tried were handmade by Soap Gallery. Does the name ring a bell? Yup, I did a review for them last year, you can find the post >>here<<.
This time I received a Foaming Facial Cleanser and a Facial Lotion (aka moisturizer). Let's talk about the cleanser first. This foaming cleanser is a very gentle cleanser that will not irritates skin hence it is suitable for all skin type. It claims to be non-comedogenic which means it will not clog your pores.
Your skin will feel completely rejuvenated after the use as it wash away all of your impurities such as oil, bacteria, dirt, and more. In other words, it means it will just clean your face damn clean. lol
It comes in a pump bottle which is my favourite! I feel that pump bottles are the most user friendly type. It is more hygiene and it will not leak here and there, unless your bottle got hole, lol. But the pump is kinda hard to press, or maybe it's just me being weak. Ha!
Ingredients: Aqua water, Gromwell root infused Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Lavender Essential Oil. It does not contains SLS/SLES, synthetic colors, animal fat, parabens or preservatives. Hence it is best to finish it within 6- 9 months.
I have the habit to warm/ foaming cleanser on my hands first before apply direct to my face.
Apply to face in gentle circular motion. *again have to emphasize this, be gentle!
Do be careful when approaching to eye area. If accidentally contacted with eyes, just rinse your eyes thoroughly with water.
After cleansing and toning the skin, now it's time for facial lotion aka Rose hip Whitening Moisturise Lotion!
Let's talk about the scent first. I am not sure what kind of scent it is for mine, but it smells sorta like grass. You know those wild green grass you can find on the field? It's kinda close to that smell. I find it to be a bit too strong for me, but my friend said that's actually the smell of Lavender and Grapefruit Essential Oil.
As for the texture, it is not creamy but also not gel. It is sorta watery and definitely not suitable for tub packaging to apply because I had a hard time taking the moisturizer out from the tub, but no worries for you as normal packaging will be in pump bottle.
Well, the best part of it, is that you can actually custom made your own moisturizer base on your preference. Of course it's not you the one making it, Soap Gallery will do it for you. You just need to tell them what is your concern and what scent or essential oil you prefer and they will prepared it for you.
Oh, you may think that since is custom made it will be sky high priced? No no, totally not.
Facial Lotion, 80g @ RM 40~ RM 60++ depending on your choice of ingredient and essential oil. Very affordable right? You got to choose what you like, custom made a moisturizer that is really meant for your skin, and plus at a reasonable price! I say it's a good deal. Your say?

How to use: Pump half a pump (I accidentally pumped a full pump which is too much for my face)
I have the habit to warm/ foaming cleanser on my hands first before apply direct to my face.
Rinse it off with warm water and tadah! Clean and cleansed face. Do note that this is not a makeup remover, hence you will still need to remove your makeup especially eye makeup before hand. If you faced any discomfort or sensitivity, stop using and consult a physician.
Soap Gallery Foaming Facial Cleanser, 120ml @ RM 29.90. I like the smell (it's Lavender!) and I like that it's not oily after cleanse but I don't see great effect on the Whitening part (maybe I'm just too tan, lol). Hopefully, I will see some effect of it if I continue using it.

What I received is a trial pack. Pardon for the not so nice looking packaging because it spilled.
Whitening moisturizer contains of Rose hip Oil, Wheat germ oil, Safflower oil, Hamamelis/ witch-hazel dope, Rose Water (skin soothing effect and nice smell), Hyaluronic acid, Areginine Essence, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera gel (for its antibacterial and anti fungal, and skin repairing effects), Emulsifier, Grape fruit essence oil , and Lavender essence oil. It is made of herbs and essential oil! Wow, can you imagine all the goodness that you gonna apply to your skin?

I tried apply few drops on forehead, cheeks, nose and jaw. As you can see the one on my forehead is dripping, lol. After using it for a week plus, I basically like it as it it very moisturizing, but it might be slightly oily for my skin as when I apply daily at night, I tend to have fat granule, but when I used it every other night, it seems better for my skin. Very moisturizing and my skin doesn't dries out after whole day inside an air-conditioned room. Thumbs up for that! But thumbs down for causing fat granule if I use it daily.
